Default Ok sc400 needs more power asap!!

Just got my *** handed to me by a g37 today and that's not going to fly with me and I am about a year away from putting my supra back to stock and swapping the 600whp motor in to this sc400 so what can I do in the meantime to up the power? I know a nice exhaust system and cat delete will help so what about headers? And does anybody sell a bolt on set of headers?

I am now looking for a direct port n20 set up (150) shot, So I would like somewere in the 350-400 whp range on spray and intake/exhaust mods.

What is the weak point now? I assume the trans? What are my options here?

Input welcome

Yea but I am not looking to swap a v160 in it since the w58 is garbage and the r154 shifts like a mid 80's f150

It would be way to costly to swap a 6spd in and I really like having an auto for daily driving.

BFI, shift kit and extra oil cooler, exhaust (don´t spray nos before doing the exhaust)
I don´t see extractors as a good dollar per hp thing...

The W58 is garbage? The only thing that is garbage is your SC400, and that G37 threw your *** in the trash.

I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything but why are you going to put money into your 1uz if you plan on swapping for your supra motor in a year? Obviously exhaust is a good choice but I would set it up to make power for your swap. Trans cooler, LSD, and a stall converter would be good investments as well. Also why are you putting direct port onto your daily driver, you wanna risk blowing a gasket or something on a car you need to get to work? It seems to me you're just upset because you got beat by a newer faster v6, and you're rushing to make unwise desicions when it comes to modding. Just my .02

Direct port is the safest and most stable form of n20 and i doubt I will blow a gasket as it is all in the tuning of the n20 so as long as there is no detonation there shoulld be a low risk of gasket failure.

I have 1 full year to toy with this car so this is why I would like to see exactly what can be done with it.

Also I am a mechanic by trade and these 1uzfe engines are disposable and cheap to replace in the event of a failure.

Alot of the body panels on the G37 are aluminum, making it very light. Dont take it so personal. Save your money and concentrate on that supra motor.

Wtf?^^ I should state that I don't want to spend huge amnts of money on a set up that I will most likely toss in a short time.

I would love a turbo kit for it however it is a daily driver so I would like to retain the stock reliability without hacking the poor car.

Spray will yield large amnts of power for less than 1k so I am really leaning that way as stated in my first post.

If you decide to sell your spinner rims let me know...
