oh man i found the ect sensor how the heck are you suppose to get to it with my fat arms lol i can get 1 maybe 2 fingers on it at best cant take the clip off >.>
Did you take all the upper covers off. If the lower wire tray is not removed its nearly impossible to get to. Those connectors always suck. Small screw driver to press tab in and pliers to gently pull has worked well for me. You will need a deep well socket to remove the sensor.
shoved my hand down there from the front side next to the intake mani and got it finally with scarps and whatnot but it was only way i could see lol
ordered a new sensor and its on its way (about 40 bucks >.<) so i'll have to wait for that... hope this is it.... it sounds like what might be the culprit because the air fuel ration stays consistent looking like its either reading low coolant temps or too high coolant temps... from reading some other threads that have same symtoms...
hate how there are so many potential problems that are associated with codes 25/26
replaced the sensor and she runs the same as before one start is good slightly lean and then the next start is rich hasn't thrown a cel yet but i bet if i drive for a few mins on the highway it will
does it sound possible to be an ecu problem??? the lean and rich condition alternates Every time i turn off and on the car like clock work if i turn it off on monday night as it was rich i can expect lean conditions when i start it back up on tuesday morning and when i stop for coffe on the way to work and shut it down for about 2 mins it will go back to rich and then back to lean when i start it back up again to go home
I think it is getting to that point. Now yo did check the o2 sensors from the diagnostic connector? Was the voltage doing a nice pulse and not stuck at 0 or 5 volts. I am not sure what else to check. Take to it to Lexus and pay them $100 to diagnose it is an option.
