Did you initially want to do a turbo setup and change plans to leaving it NA? I ask because you posted the pick with the truck headers swapped and flipped upside down. I'm contemplating doing a junkyard 5.3L, 480le automatic, and a big single turbo in an SC for a weekend drag car. Should be able to get 550-600rwhp out of the setup on the cheap from the research I've done on LS1tech.com.
I'd love to see some pics of the engine bay and clearance between the accessories and the radiator. Most people are mounting the turbo up in front of the engine or just off to the passengers side:

Would you mind posting pics of crossmember fab work if you have it? How much did you have to trim, or did you modify the pan? Sorry if it was asked, I did not read anywhere that it had been.

Sorry for the late reply guys, I've been sooo busy working on customers cars that I can't even work on my own project!! Yes, I was initially going to to turbo right off the bat, but then realized that C6 corvette manifolds fit the Sc300 with MINIMAL modifications. Plans changed to get it up and running, sort all the bugs out, then build a twin turbo kit. I will post pics of the SIMPLE mod needed to the "engine subframe/crossmember" and no, you do not need to modify an fbody oil pan to fit our chassis. No need to buy an oil filter relocater.

I will post pics of the clearance we have to turbo an lsx swapped scx00. Which is alot of room in my opinion. 600whp is no prob with a stock 5.3. It's funny you mention that budget 5.3 turbo setup, my buddy just finished a setup like that in a truck. It makes 600+ whp COMPLETELY STOCK (except for a turbo specific cam) 5.3 truck engine

Looks like you're right, lots of room for the turbo and plumbing, plus the intercooler in front of the radiator. I saw the video's of your car on youtube earlier this week by chance searching for 5.3L swaps.
