Default Adjusting DOOR?

so today its raining and i noticed that the top of my door was leaking, so i went investigating come to find my QP has been replaced and my door is not the original. everything seems to line up sorta, everything just seems a 1/2" off on the bottem so the door doesnt meet up and the body line is off about 1/8" or so down in the front of the door and seems to line up in the rear.

o and from the passenger seat, if u look at the dash where the door panel meets up when u close it, its got a finger gap, like u can put ur finger right there, and i notice on my drive its tight like a tiger.

whats the "official" way to adjust the doors? there seems to be alot of bolts supporting it.

i go from a 240sx that the door is held on with 6 bolts and regular hinges to a damn SC300 that has 12 bolts a wierd twisty hydraulic thing and the **** weighs a ton.

help. lol

I worked at my uncles collision repair shop in NY, when we had a situation like that, we opened the door and put 2x4 wood between the door and the lock hinge on the qp, and pushed the window part in with the windows down. kind of bending the upper door inwards. Hope that works.

For the SC, it happens alot because it is only hanged by one hinge to support that heavy door.

There is no adjustment for that. You gotta bend something. Previous body shop (or owner) didn't repair it right.
