I had barely noticed that my door sticks out and doesn't line up with the back door. I don't know if its the hinges, the rubber seal, or the hook itself. I'm wanting to find out what's really wrong with the door since I don't want my car falling apart on me already. So can someone please help me before I make a stupid mistake and put my GS in the junk yard over the dang door?
calm down there. Mines just the same, but it's just misaligned from sloppy body work during the previous owners possession. Just sit down one saturday and tinker with it. It helps having 2 people so one can support the door while you're adjusting it. Just loosen the 2 hinges that hold the door and you may have to adjust the latch. I've just been too lazy but I'll get too it, along with other little things, this summer since the weathers JUST now getting nice in the NW. But 1 door not being aligned doesnt mean the cars falling apart, if anything buy a new door from a junkyard and put it on the car rather then putting the car in the junkyard.

The strike on the jamb is adjustable. Just move it in a few mm and see how it looks
With a #1 philips screw driver. Loosen the screws and move the strike in a little, tighten the screws.
Test the door for closure and do it again if the door isnt shut all the way.
There are also small rubber bumpers on the inner door skin that can be adjusted if they are preventing the door from closing all the way after you adjust the strike.

Thanks, most I ever worked on cars was rebuilding motors. Never did any outside work on the exterior much, just motor, suspensions and brakes.
