I have a 1997 SC300 looking to pull a check engine code. I'm told it's just the EGR valve (Had paperwork also) BUT I'd like to see for myself.

I've looked this up but they only show how to pull pre-1996 engine codes.


Also is there anyway to fix the EGR so the light will go off? Paperwork shows "Poor EGR flow" nothing serious but I'd like it off.

you can get an obd scanner for 20-30 bucks on amazon. reads and clears codes. or at least thats where i got mine long ago.

not sure the prices now.
