i have a 96 sc300 and my check engine light came on for the same thing. it said my egr flow was insufficient but i didnt have any symptoms of a bad or clogged egr which r bad idle and stalling. and if u dont have those either ur in the same boat as me. u can delete ur egr with block off plates but it wont take the CEL off. im judt driving the car with the CEL on

I got the same CEL code on my 94 Sc300. I went to a local junk yard and got the vacuum part on top of the EGR, the one with the 2 vac hose from a toyota Camry swapped it out and that fixed my problem. Most toyota's have the same vac port. It is real easy to change. You could try that and see if it helps, if not you may to remove and clean your EGR valve.
