Cutting my springs.
Cutting my springs tomorrow. I read CL almost everyday, and i know im gonna get replies saying not to. Im getting coils, in 3 months, and im sick of the nf210 look. Any advice on cutting the springs on stock shocks?
Do you NEED that drop? Shocks that are still good will become blown due to bounciness i believe, and ride quality will suck. 3 Months isn't too long for being 4x4 once you get your coilovers and slam it.

^^ exactly, well thanks guys, im not worried about my shocks being blown, because they are getting replaced in the future soon. And if you had nf210's, youd prolly need that drop as well.
Dude, seriously? Learn some patience, leave the springs alone. So the car isnt sitting exactly how you want it at this point, but your getting new shocks and springs in a couple months, so whats the rush?
If you want to cut something on the car to ruin it, cut it in half and sell the parts so the rest of us can benefit from it. Atleast it will go to a good cause.

It depends how short you cut it. Generally you don't want to cut the springs to the point where the spring rate increases by 5% or more. Cutting spring doesn't blow the shocks. It's the result of cutting too much that the spring is too stiff and that kills the shocks since it wasn't meant for anything much stiffer than stock springs.
If I were you, I'd wait that 3 months. Resale value on an intact spring is much higher than cut springs. No one wants to buy cut springs on this forum.
