As stated in my other thread im having no power, no lights, nothing from my CCU. So I searched and found the common issue of the cig lighter. So I checked my fuses, nothing. Unplugged my lighter, nothing. Checked heat fuse in the engine bay, nothing. So Im starting to think its the CCU itself. So I thought I could use a volt meter and make sure the unit is getting power before I buy a new one. Does anyone know which pins, or how to go about about checking the wires/plug that goes into the back of the CCU?

 

From what I've heard, they are notorious for going out. Mine is dead also, I'm looking to upgrade and get a blue colored CCU. There's a guy on ebay that mods them and sells different colors.

 

So are you able to use any of you hvac controls? Yeah Ive been pricing them on ebay for like ~150.
