Default Updated tail lights for $10
So I painted my tail lights today so that they would be all red.
You will need:

Masking tape
1000 grit sand paper
Testors Candy Apple Red
Testors Clear Coat

Steps: Mask it, sand it, clean it, spray it, clear it.

I chose to do mine with VHT black and five coats. I also dig your red, but I like the black better on a white car. Next up is to paint your gold emblems to black. Overall good idea to do this.

the result is fantastic! But... me personally, i'd buy a sheet of red vinyl and do that and save myself the time spent taking apart/sanding/painting & waiting

Yeah, i did that on my WRX and it turned out great. I may try this on my sc3

keep it from locking possibly? but the release inside the car negates that whole idea...

LOL, no but you gotta have your trunk up to take out the tail lights. Plus it was a little SC humor since all our trunk struts are out. lol.
