I didnt know there was a cca rating for batteries, interesting. The only problem i have with the SC in the cold is the freezing leather.

Last winter I started my Soarer in -30 celsius (-22 F) without problem and I didn't have additional motorheater back then. Though one day my radiator fluids frozed and I had to replace the old fluids to new that resist more cold.

The biggest problem were that the transmission oils got quite sticky in cold and
I had difficulties to start moving (automatic trans.).

If I remember right my battery was 900 cca.

Quote: Well, do consider that the SC was designed in California with Californians in mind...And here in California, it never gets as cold as it does like where you guys live.
What? The SC was designed in California for California? Ok... now I have heard it all.

My car has 300,000+ miles and a somewhat new alternator, but it gets about 12-30 degrees out here in wa most of the time in the morning and she starts up fine. it may take her a few more seconds to start up, but never had a problem.

Probabaly battery.

Dude. If it's that big of a deal, make sure you have a backup just in case.
