Default Good or bad

I brought a lexus sc 300 95 with 43000 on the clock for $8000. Its emaculate! It was owned and stored in the garage for years! NOW Ive had to replace the upper and rear bushings, starter, gastet valve cover and Im wondering whats next! Shouldn't a car of this prestige not have too many issues! Are there more suprises on the way......

That comes with the territory. Even though it has low miles, it's 15 years old so there's probably a few things more that you're going to have to change. You should just go ahead and do a full maintenance tune up(Water pump, Timing belt, plugs, Cap, Rotor, etc.) so you know that you're starting fresh with a clean slate.

Congrats on your new SC but even with the low miles I think you paid way too much for it. Just my $.02

Wicked SC is right. In cases like this, an older, low mileage car like this will need just as much work as one with 150,000 miles since it's sat for so long over the years.

Ive seen cars with very low miles with the same problems. oil starts to leak because the oil never gets hot, and the gaskets dry from sitting too long. Atleast you know this is all minor problems that are easy to deal with. Good find though

congrats on the purchase----personnaly i dont think u paid too much at all-----it is better to pay more now for a car with lower miles and get the bugs out of the way rather than pay less and have a car with major issues and heavy maintenance and repair costs on the way ------


sorry to hear your having issues as i know it is no fun at all

good luck i hope the worst is out of the way
