now to get the matte finish did you just spray a base coat and leave the clear coat out?

Or is it an actual matte finish pain t?

Is it enamel or laquer or ?????

the body paint guy stated it is something you put in the clear that as it dries causes the color to become more dull.
i believe flat is where you leave out the clear and just paint it

You are correct, matte paint has a special clear coat that leaves it dull and looks flat, the paint is usually the same but its all about the clear. Flat is just paint without a clear. And looks good!! Keep us updated for the end result

IMO, the car looks like primed ready for paint. As for the rims its whatever you want!
