Who knows the answer?!
will a worn brake pad (front) throw a Check Engine Light?!
I think they should make a store for just lexus sc300/400. like instead of AutoZone... ScZone.! :P but someone let me know!

thank you all! i really need to get an OBD1 reader! cant find anywhere to purchase! any suggestions? i think i have a bad O2 sensor...
everytime i turn the car on the CEL is off...but once i start driving...like literally 20 or 30 seconds later..the Check Engine light comes on along with the TRAC light... but i love my SC! haha

jump E1 and Te1. Read the code number and look it up on here. Pm if you need help.

yes u can check the code with something as simplewas a paper clip or a wire with two bare ends------just like timber said -----e1 and te1----than count the flashes and report back.
And there is no way a worn brake pad can cause a check engine light to throw.

Possible codes:
code 404: code not found, or
code 101: WTF is this ****??
pads COULD throw a brake light though (as in the E-brake light)

I check my codes from under the left side of the drivers side dash---there is a diagnostic port there also--------either or is your choice.
