when your listening through your ipod, is your bass noticeably better? my bass sucks listening through the radio. i remember when i had a tape deck to aux my bass sounded great
What you were planning as far as running it from the amp is more of a hassle because of all the running of wires, having to take the back seats off, the side trim, running it under the carpet and such, its more than what you have to do.

Doing it from the head unit is wayyy simpler. All in all, it takes about an hour from start to finish for a beginner.

Ill have everything up tonight.

Also to answer your question about the bass. Yes it sounds better than radio. I had the same dilemma where the woofer sucked on radio, but it did sound better on cd's, and even better directly from my ipod. Everything just sounds more crisp. Of course this depends on the music you listen to.

I used one of these to switch between the CD Changer and the iPod.

Kind of useless though, I stopped using the CD Changer once I got the iPod in the car.

You can find these for 4 dala at Big Lots, this way you don't need to run relays and stuff lol.

I kind of wish I went this route instead of buying a new headunit.
