Hello guys i just bought a 92 sc400 last night and it seems to have the drivers seat stuck i was wondering if i there was anyway to move it forward without buying a new one.
sounds EXACTLY like what happened to my passenger side.
ya gotta figure out how to get the seat out, and that won't be an easy task.
after that, there is a shaft coming off of the motor, and there should be a white plastic cap on there somewhere (may have fallenout, onto the floor), covering a bearing. you will need to figure out how to align the rails to go back into the car. after they are right, you can tighten up that white cap( I recommend something to keep the cap in place, maybe some teflon tape).
Remove the headrest by holding the button and pulling on it. Then get a socket wrench with the correct head to remove whatever of the 5 bolts exposed(Should have plastic covers over). And it will be a challenge getting the rest. Try pushing or pulling with the certain switch pressed.
I use to have the same problem ,my was all rusted a didn't move at all ,I spray a little bit of wd40 and started to pull back and foward till it broke loose then spray white grease on it,being working good since
