I also need to replace my antenna. ITs bent. How much is it to fix the motor and antenna? Thanks

 

I got the antenna mast assembly for about $54. Replacing the mast is very easy. Just unscrew the top slotted nut that secures the antenna to the fender, turn the radio on and select the AM band, and firmly pull the old mast and its toothed nylon spine out of the motor assembly. Using the AM band will make the motor assembly push out more antenna which makes the process easier, but it's not mandatory. Feed the new nylon spine into the motor assembly with the teeth facing the same way as the old one. Once you feel the teeth engage with the motor, turn off the radio and the motor assembly will pull the new shaft into place. The way the motor knows it is at the bottom is by the copper sleeve that you'll see on the new mast, so make sure the new antenna is fully collapsed before you turn off the radio. Then simply replace the top slotted nut. I put a thin coat of silicone sealant arount the rubber gasket to ensure that it wouldn't leak.

 

Yep, what Hwallen172 said with the following exception. If the plastic spline has broken, you may be required to remove and disassemble the motor to retrieve the remnants of the spline. Just did mine last night and it actually wasnt too bad....$57 for the mast......30 min to remove/replace trim pieces, dis/reassemble motor.
