CA police cant give the fix-it tickets for out of state cars. Had a highway patrol try and get me for 14 violations on one of my old s13's when I went to SD, was simply a no-go cause the car was registered out of state. Bad thing was, his partner had to tell him while he was standing in front of me..silly noob cop

Texas still has emissions regulations, but the police aren't strict about stuff like this here, unlike Hawaii and California.

But I've had a cop test my emissions at my pipe once here, and my car was bone stock. It all depends on where you live and who the cop is i guess.

Are emission and tint laws strict in the DFW area!? I used to live down there, but I moved to Oklahoma which NO emissions. I'm going back to Dallas in a few months.

depends on where you live. Since i live in a white suburban area w/ no crime, cops have nothing better to do than to tag you for anything they can. If you moved to the ghetto, they are too busy w/ burglaries and murders to bother you for anything.

And i think anything darker than 25% is illegal, but there is a 6% leeway, so you might get away w/ 20%.

Doesn't it get too loud? You'll probably get tired of this after couple of months. I used to run straight pipe after resonators on my SC3, and it was cool for couple of months until I got tired of it.

Darkest on the front windows is 25%, and TX state laws dont allow any leeway on that. You have 20% on your front windows, your getting a ticket. However the rear windows can be as dark as you want. I have 5% on all my rears, and 25% on my front.

and Vadim, my exhaust was actually very quiet, and just like the OP, I have a 3''DP, no cats or resonators, to the same muffler. I had even run it without the muffler a few times and it wasnt bad.
