Question Clunking/Knocking when turning. Pics inside...

Hey Guys, i just bought a '97 SC300 with 116k. When turning at very low speeds, <10mph, there is a knocking or clunking noise coming from the front end. It happens when i turn both left and right. I don't even have to turn to lock for the noise to happen.

I removed the front wheels and noticed that some bushings appeared to be bad. Here are the pics. Maybe you guys can help me identify what i need.

LCA?

Inner or outer tie rod?

Not sure...

From the looks of that LCA, I can probably guarantee that at least 90% of what you're feeling is being caused by them. If you replace your LCAs you'll also get (some) new ball joints too. Search, there's TONS of info about these on here.

ps. DON"T buy your LCAs from Lexus unless you want to spend a fortune, get them from Toyota for a MKIV Supra

Yes, you need complete lower control arms, because the balljoint is not replaceable. I would also check your inner and outer tie rods with sway bar links.

So, then these bushing kits on ebay won't do the trick?

Would a bad lower control arm cause the car to wobble at slow speeds?
