Default What do you guys think??????

Hey guys,

I have put my second car which is a 2001 honda civic si for sale recently and I have came across a very interesting trade offer.

My civic has only 120 000km and is v-tec 5 spd and so on and so forth and I have been offered a chance to trade it for a 92 pearl white toyota soarer-2.5 litre twin turbo with 110 000- original kilometres.

I had my Honda for sale for about $6250.00 and he had his Toyota Soarer for sale for $7800.00 which seems a bit high to me-----he has offered to take my car and a thousand dollars for his soarer.

The soarer--from what he told me ---is all original except for some coilovers--the car looks like it has been lowered a few inches---looks good-----stock rims though------looks like the seats are made of cloth and not leather----is this normal---i thought they were all leather-----

Oh and also it is a 5 spd.

My question is -------is what he is asking---$7800 sound high---does to me-----would I be wrong to just offer him a str8 trade and take it or leave it-----or should I jump all over this one---

I already own a 93 sc400 with 145 000 kms original and I love the thing.

Also money is an issue to me-------if I get this car instead of selling my Honda it will be a financial burden----but i think I would be willing to take on that burden if this car is worth it.

Please tell me about these 2.5 litre soarers and what they are capable of.

Thanks in advance guys

If the Soarer is all stock, then yes, IMO, that's too expensive. You can get a sc300 with leather, 5spd and it may already have a 1j/2j swap for that money... I would say sell the Civic and put $1k with that money and get yourself a bad *** SC!

Good luck!

1. sell the sc400, straight trade the civic for the soarer

or

2. keep the sc400, sell the civic

why have 2 cars if you're just going to end up in debt?

Do you have the connections/knowhow to register a soarer?(if it isn't already regged) Because if not all you end up getting is a car you can't drive on a street.

I didnt realize these cars were hard to register.

I think the rule here is if they are 15 years or older it isnt really a problem.

And no I do not need two cars but I really want to see what a manual twin turbo is like.

I can always sell my least fav sc in the end.

If he will do a str8 swap I will go for the trade.

Thanks alot guys

Oh and what car is faster ---a bone stock 93 sc400 or a bone stock 92 twin turbo soarer----im assuming the soarer should take it no problem----but I dont know.

soarer for sure and has more potential for less money ..and id definitely make the trade..swap the leather out (if its the same color of course) and have a very nice soarer..then sell the 400

Dude this isnt bad at all, most soarers come with weird thick cheap paint job with dents all over. This one seems mint compared to what i've seen on my trips to Canada.
