Default OEM front lip

Seriously, why the **** are they so expensive? I want one so bad and for some reason I need to sacrifice one of my limbs for a strip of plastic. Answers anyone?

I got one off here used for a decent price. You just need to wait for one to pop up in the for sale section.

cuz they know they can charge for that price and people will still buy it. Why lower it if people are still looking for it.

I wasn't personally quoted any price, I searched around to see what other people were quoted and most of them are atleast 400+. I saw this one guy got quoted like $900 from his local dealership. Also, THIS http://www.luxurymods.com/frontlipsp...4sc300400.aspx

$460 lol. You can get a replica vertex or the entire shine auto project bumper for less.

Yeah but I would also want matching side skirts and rear bumper AND I would have to paint it. I just want to settle with a lip on my 92 body for now

Simple economics in the car world, Any part that constantly has to be replaced and therefore bought, prices for it will increase...It's the simple law of supply and demand. Lexus dealers had to constantly replace these parts (under warranty) when they had these lips on the '92-'94 SC400's, because they kept getting ripped out or were getting destroyed from the rigors of daily driving, Toyota realized that they were losing out on money when they had to constantly replace these lips for free...When the '95-'96 year models came out, Toyota simply didn't put 'em on the SC400 trims (Yet the brackets to mount 'em were still there)...That's why only '92-'94 SC400 models had 'em. And on top of that, modern enthusiasts like ourselves, still have a demand for these lips...That's why they're at a premium.
