I say STEREO. The only reason I say that is simple. You are in CHI-Town. Snow + Turbo = newcar? Not saying you cannot drive, but winter in Chicago is not kind to rear-wheel drive.

Stereo you can enjoy year around. Slammed with those streets and pot-holes is bad news.

Good luck

Well, that's the thing Kevin. If you were to get a turbo most likely you would need rims, suspension, and other things. Stereo system and LCDs everywhere is just toys that you will never benefit from and infact might make your car apear as eye candy to theifs. Keep in mind first things first. SC looks bad with stock rims and springs. You should do these first, which I am sure you are at the moment.

Myself I have taken the route to improve and maintain while saving up for an engine swap or a turbo kit. You already know that I have lowered the car, installed suspension, and put Supra TT rims. I am convinced that most people view my car as stock by looking at it. Next time people will see an SC they will put it in a high quality car category and not a car that needs work on the image. LOL.

Hey DirectQL, we have similar setups and I'm with you. Most people see my car as stock. The rims don't really impress because of size, but they do look perfect on the SC for a stock appearance. The 9.5-inch rears provide perfect offset and give me perfect traction in stock form. The staggered look is also very aggressive. I wonder why Toyota didn't just remanufacture Supra TT wheels for the SC???

BTW, I'm about to pull the trigger on lowering springs (like in the next few days). Can someone give me a definitive answer as to which springs lower my car the most? Supra OEM springs, Eibach Supra TT Prokit, Eibach Supra NA Prokit, or Eibach SC400 prokit? I've been getting some mixed responses in the suspension subforum...

Eibach Supra NA gives you 1.3" front and 1"rear. Thats the lowest. I was checking it out on the Eibach site. Unless you cut. I have something like a 2.25" front and 2" rear. of 2" f 1.75" r

Im just curious, theres alot of different springs for the supra's. Why is it that everyone just use eibachs? For some reason are they the only ones compatible? I think the tanabe precedeo gives like a 2" drop or something. Im not sure on this one.

You want to slam your car the most? Get the Supra TT kit, but you would need to replace the shocks too. Otherwise go with the SC300 Eibach Pro kit. Eibachs are the best and the most reliabile compared to other companies such as Intrax.

Lightbulb Not worth investing the 2.5K

How long to plan to keep your Lex? I say invest your $2500.
Your rate of return on each of your poll options aren't worth spending the $2500 IMO.

Well I already bought the Eibach Supra NA springs from *** because past threads in the suspension sub-forum said they drop the lowest---1.5-inch front, 1-inch rear. Everyone buys Eibachs because they are the number one manufacturer of springs in the world. They actually make springs for many other companies as well, but those sometimes don't hold the same QC and standards as Eibach-brand springs. Better safe than sorry .

How about Espelir Springs?
I've just purchase them and waiting for delivery, will drop F: ~40mm/1.6" R: ~30mm/1.2" with KYB Shocks. And hopely install them by next week.

I would go with the rims and suspension. I wouldn't necessarily slam it to sacrifice speed, just lower it to reduce the size of the large gaps between the tires and fender. You could do this with the $2500 now. At least this way you could get your SC looking better right now and then save up for speed upgrades for later.

I think lexcoupe (Kevin) should become a man-***** and get a turbo kit when he gets more money...

F-MAX kit is only 4599 bucks at the moment and it seems to be a better value for the money than any other one.

Theres more to it, you gotta add in gauges, fuel controller, boost controller, other stuff like Torque converter is your automatic, clutch if your sitck.... its never just that 4599, you could easily hit 8000. Figure in 3inch exhaust, transmission parts, new rims that are wider to help with traction, gauges, fuel and boost controller, BOV.... adds up fast, not including stuff that might go wrong, or tools to install, cost to have a place install it. Ive done my share into looking into it, cause in a couple months here, i'll have about $8000 or so for a sc300 and mods, i'll just stick to N/A and maybe run nitrous and some multimedia stuff inside. 2500 is not gonna get you a turbo system, even if you save up, why spend every penny on it? I think stuff like audio would be nice to have.
