quick battery question
So my car turned over slowly twice and then the most recent time I tried to start it, it barely started. My mechanic is on my way home, so I dropped it off figuring it wouldn't start tomorrow morning. I'm assuming its a battery going bad. I've never really looked at the battery before, so I don't know how difficult it is to replace on my own. Any thoughts? I'm a mechanical zero. Well, maybe a bit better than zero, but not much. I've changed a battery on a different car, but that was pretty easy to extract. I'm thinking it's more difficult on an SC. Also, any thoughts on a replacement battery?
Thanks!
Thanks!
If you have changed a battery before, it shouldn't be any different on an SC. Have your battery checked and load tested then have your charging system checked before replacing the battery. Don't want to waste money on things you don't need.
Turns out it was the battery. Picked the car up and now the steering wheel is stuck in the upright position. I'm sure somehow the work they did messed up the wheel, but there's a good DIY repair thread somewhere around here, so I'm going to find it and get my hands dirty.
Ohhh your telescopic steering? Yeah disconnecting the battery will reset all that. Im assuming its the gear not catching. Use a washer to push the gear out further it explains it all on the DIY thread.
