Default Wierd CEL issue.

So I had a hole in my exhaust that I got fixed yesterday. I never got a CEL from it but thought maybe cuz of where it was on the exhaust?
Anyways, driving the car for 30 mins AFTER I got it fixed the CEL came on. I checked it and it gave me a Cat code, that it wasnt running properly/efficiently or whatever. Which is strange because I shoulda had that code when I had the hole, not after. I cleared it and it hasnt come on during my drive to work today.
Should it be something of concern? Should I be worried that my ECU isint functioning properly or something?

My CEL came on again on the highway. Anyone have an idea why it would be doing this after the hole was patched?

might be a clogged cat, and the hole was letting the air out, and now that it is sealed up, its goin though the cat and the codes pops up

I agree with codye----that is the only common sense conclusion I can come up with also.

Since the code is in tune with the work that you had done(exhaust-muffler), I would say there is no reason to think your ECU is acting up.

Good luck.

Nope. Your ECU knows that cat is bad when reading from pre cat O2 sensor are the same as readings from post cat O2 sensor. Before when you had a leak reading was different between sensors even with dead cat, now with cat patched up reading are the same. Blink. Blink. MIL
