Question Red Fluid Leaking Through Hydraulic Motor

To anyone who might have a clue and kind enough to share:

It seems that a red fluid (possibly engine fan fluid? i'm guessing that because it's red also) is leaking through my hydraulic motor. I'm assuming that the OIL SEAL in the hydraulic motor has gone bad. Anyone out there have this problem? Could be NOT the oil seal and something else? Everything is working fine except for the fact that my rubber plate screwed under the car is constantly getting filled with this mysterious red fluid coming mysteriously from somewhere. Someone please help? Suggestions?

Thanks for looking...

Sharon

Sounds like the water pump. The red is toyota red die "special" antifreeze. It will probably need to be replaced. Take it to a shop.

Default Hydraulic fan leaking

My old 93 SC400 had a leaking hydraulic engine fan also, same as you describe. I had used transmission "stop leak" and the leaking slowed to an occasional drip...very annoying though.

So it happened to me but I never got it fixed...hope this points you in the right direction!
