I just had my radiator changed on 6/14 and my mechanic forgot to reconnect the transmission hoses back and once we started the car maybe a half a quart spilled out. Now I'm seeing a red like fluid leak in my garage. Could it be just from the spillage and its draining off ? Never notice it before.

 

First step would be to contact the mechanic and get them to fix their problem. There are very specific procedures around refilling the transmission, make sure he follows them.

So far as the garage floor: use some kitty litter to absorb it. Also, get under the SUV and wipe down the frame rails in that area. Then see if the puddle reappears.
