never used spec. Its just such a heavy pedal. I liked it while it worked.. but we just kept breaking OEM slaves.. like breaking the tabs right off the transmission on an R154.. Though others on supraforums praise the clutch. Go for it i suppose..

What pressure plate is that? Stay away from spec, its totally junk in their upper stage region.

Bypass clutch wire to get rid of crankwalk issues...starting the car with the clutch pressed in is where all the supposed damage occurs.....bypass it and you will not have to worry about that...

for your power (im assuming between 300-400rwhp) RPS Max is a real good clutch...

SPEC's are total junk, so stay away...

Let's say you do make over 600, how long do you think the R154 will last? You could do a Marlin Crawler R154, but for that price, you'd be better off with a built auto or saving a little longer for a V160.

dude, who are you? are you telling me how to work on cars? or are you trying to be helpful?
martin r154 rebuild is 1200 bucks vs a v160 being 3-4k just for the transmission and then another 1600- 2300 for a crazy clutch kit and that doesnt include a new drive shaft. and a built auto is the stupidest think i have heard you dont even know what im using my car for an auto would be garbage.

btw.. i know of R154's with over 800rwhp being pushed at them.. its all how you drive your car.

As far as crank walk goes, sure.. clutch bypass on start up could help prolong life, but ive heard countless times its mainly caused by HIGH rpm shifts with stiff pressure plates
