Default alt/batt problem

i havent been driving the car because i thought the altenator was bad. after 3 alts and the car still dying i decided to test all the alts(after 4 months)
2 are over charging(so i geuss the machine was off because they read the same) and 1 had a bad bearing. both batterys i have are now 100% useless.
the car would run for a few miles than drain the juice from somewhere. and after a jump for a few minutes the car would still be dead.

all i did was change the alt and the batt where could i have missed a ground or messed something up that is causing a short? or is there a fuse relay that i do not know about? im buying another batt tonight and going to try it and see what happens.

what do you mean by short? what is happening exactly or not happening? Not sure if you're buying those reman alternators from the local parts place but I myself replaced an alternator not long ago and under high revs/load my battery light comes on I've metered the system and everything seems ok for me and all I do is reset the car by turning it off and back on again but I'm guessing these reman alternators are junk my old beat up one was a soarer alternator which runs less amps and thats why I replaced mine but it seems to be crap however now at least my lights don't dim and electronics don't run crappy at idle.

Just a month ago I had pretty much the same problem. I was driving out of the blue my battery light came on...........then after a few minutes shut off............a few minutes came back and it did this all day. When I would step on the brake or touch the window switches the battery light would turn on...........the battery light would even flash in the pattern as my turn signals when I was making a turn. if I turned the ac on the battery light shut off.

The battery is only a year and a half old, battery terminals are brand new and tight, I regrounded all the grounds and none of that worked....Put a new alternator in and the problems went away
