Default which one is best????

Got 3 brands of spark plug wire manufactures:

1. Borg warren(pep boys)

2. bosch(auto zone)

3. Belden(Napa auto parts)

All of them come with lifetime warranty, but I'm looking for the best brand recommended for sc400

also, what should the resistance reading be when its time to change the plug wires? A range of ohm readings is preferred.

thanks,
007

Answer: none of the above.
The Lexus wires are the best.
People with 900rwhp Supras run Toyota wires.
You'd be nuts to change them.

Agreed, I only use the Lexus wires on the 1UZ, their quality is excellent for an oe wire. If you must go aftermarket, Magnecor makes a nice set for the 4.0

Spark plugs,

Denso Platinum (OEM) or Iridium (from 98-up models, they fit on older V-8s)

Spark plug wires,

OEM (Toyota) as most parts that you want to use on your Lexus.

Spark plug, caps, rotors, pcv, all from dealer, was told wires are on order, but wont be in for a week car need to know if bosch will work a) either put the old ones back on ( they are in bad shape) b)replace with bosch and put oem on at later date. Some feed back would be appreciated. 93 sc400 137k about 6 to 700 miles per week commute.

You can use whatever to get you around, but OEM is by far the best. Get a set of Bosch or whatever, as long as they have a lifetime warrenty. Then when the OEM's come in- return the Bosch under warrenty and ask for your money back.

Not to be too much of a hard ***, but that sounds like fraud to me. You return parts that you haven't used or are defective. You don't use them while it's convenient and then ask someone else (the parts jobber) to pay for your convenience. No wonder we pay so much for parts!

Yes but Supras don't have high voltage running through their spark plug wires. Supras have coil on plug, and only relatively low voltage running through the plug wires.

How much does the plug wire set retail for over there? Here it is about 300 USD.

Carson is 888-747-4777 (or 310-522-2300). The part number for 96 SC400 wires is 90919-22379

Yes, for a daily driven car, the stock will be best, we sell a lot of these as well to CL members, good stuff to make the car run well, especially when they are 100,000+ miles.

As LL said, the Magnecors are good, however they will not fit (not even close!!!) in the stock wire channels or clip brackets, so they will take a fair amount of fitting to get them on the car without pinching them. We had no problems with around 500+hp with those, with MSD 6A ignition boxes and aftermarket coils.
