Default Temperature control panel dead

My car : 1995 Lexus SC 400 Auto.

I noticed that temperature LED is blank all of a sudden (only yellow LED background). Nothing shows up. Pushing Auto *** doesn't do nothing. None of the control (AC, Auto temperature, Airflow control, air direction fan controls) work. Power charging outlet is also not doing anything.

Only thing I can think of that would have caused these was on an uphill highway I put it on overdrive and RPM shooted more than 4 at the speed of around 70 mph. Did it blow off the fuse?

CD and Audio panel works fine (6 CD changer in trunk).

From your experience/expertise, I would like to know what went wrong and approximate cost. So they don't surprise me when I go to get it fixed.

Thanks,
ND

It's usually easier to swap it out. Someone in the classifieds should be selling one

Have you tried troubleshooting at all... at least checking the fuses yourself before getting it diagnosed?

Thank you all for your responses. Romycha1, yes, one of the CIG (15A) is busted. First it was hard to locate the fuse panel on driver side kick panel. But finally found it. I used tail light 15A to test, and it worked.

I think I know what to do next.

Again, Thanks.
ND.

Check your lighter socket to see if theres any coins that fell in causing the fuse to blow out. Seems like a common problem on here. The cig lighter and climate control are on the same circuit.

Thanks for the help, same thing just happened to me and I had no clue the CC was on teh same circuit as the lighter plug - just a blown fuse.
Glad I checked through here first!

Okay this just happened to me tonight, I just bought a cell phone charger for my sc, plugged it in it went on and the whole a/c unit went off along with the cig lighter. Can anybody please walk me through this, and which fuse to replace, I hope it was just the fuse and nothing serious.
