So today I decided to do a drain and fill on my transmission, change the filter, and replace the leaky gasket. I also had a set of shift solenoids sitting around and wanted to see if they would work. However they don't look like quite the same size, and I only have 3 solenoids, while there is 4 in the valvebody of my transmission. The set I bought was supposed to work in a340e, a340h, and a few others. The whole a340e vs a341 issue with these transmissions is annoying. Can somebody say for sure what transmission I have? Is it stamped somewhere on it?
I took some pictures of the solenoids. Two of the solenoids already in the transmission have long ends like this.
Also the others two have different plug in locations and aren't as wide.
So does this confirm I have the a341e in my Sc?

Well, preliminary results are that maybe I didn't need the solenoids after all. Just from the fluid and filter change it shifts 10X smoother. I didn't realize how dark the old fluid was until I opened up the new bottle!
