Default Need some help/opinions on sc300

Hey guys I am still looking for an sc300. I found a 96 with about 110000 miles on it in pretty good condition at a dealership. The interior is in pretty good shape with some tiny tears in on the drivers side chair and in the rear. Also the ac vent has a little crack on it. It doesn't have any service records and the timing belt has not been changed. It has had 3 previous owners. They are asking 7k out the door. Does that seem high? What do you guys think?

Here is are some pics of it

Hmmm...

The interior looks perfect and the exterior looks pretty damn good. 7K seems a tad steep for that many miles, but these cars do last forever.

I have a '96 with about 60k miles and KBB quoted me about 7-8K.

See if you can haggle it down by a few hundred bucks and I'd say you're good to go.

Far too much for a 96.

I wouldn't pay more than $6k.

Yeah, I was trying to get it for $6k out the door with tax, title and fees....but they are not seeming to move from 6k plus all the tax, titles and fees which is like another 1k.
Any ideas? Should I pass on this car?

Here's the KBB for a personal sale

I wouldn't do any more than 6.2k.

Do you know if it has traction control and a Nakamichi sound system? Because my '96 has the best sound system for a car that I've ever seen, even better than my dad's '03 Infiniti.

It's not like there's a huge market for these things. They've achieved niche status. I'd tell the sales guy that you'd do the deal for 6k out the door and if he says no tell him "I'll see you in a month" and then come back and tell him 5500 out the door.

There's one by me that's been sitting on the lot for like 8 months. They list it for 9k and would probably take 7.5 but it's not even in prime condition.

No I am not sure if it had traction control, but I think it did have the Nakamichi sound system b/c it did have a disc changer in the trunk, but not 100% sure on the sound system. The car looked clean and pretty well kept (or they just cleaned it well) and is the color I want, but it didn't have maintenance records and the price seemed high are the two main things holding me back.

yea definitely give it time..i made that mistake..there was on a 95 with 120k by me for sale for 3995 and i was waiting a while for it to drop and it never did (i had 4k total to spend)
then someone posted a 92 with 139k for 1900..i jumped on it and that same day the 95 went down to 3200 and its very clean looking..
the one i got has a few issues nothing to major but i would much rather the 95
