Default Headlight adjustment...I know, I know...

...there are posts on how to do this, and I've read them. My problem is that the little black hex pieces to which a 10mm socket are supposed to match, are gone. Instead I have just the thin metal rods, and no matter the tool I try to use, they're just not adjusting the lights.

Solutions? I know I'm turning them the right way, in fact I'm trying both directions just to get the things to move at all...no go.

It's frustrating to say the least...My right headlight shines all the way to the right, and up! It's got to be worse for the other drivers on the road, and I want to fix it because I feel like I've got a wayward eye!

I have an HID kit btw...don't know if that makes a difference...probably just makes it more noticeable. And I'm not sure which kind, as it was on the car when I bought it.

You need to pull up to a wall and look at the beam pattern. The HIDs in a halogen fixture often do not focus well and you get a lot of "STUFF" shining every which way. The headlights still look *****'en in the parking lot, though.

If you are actually turning the "rod" and not getting ANY adjust then your headlight is broken. Its GAZI ALIGA time. Email him about your problem and he might have a simple fix. If you can deal with the headlight polish you can work with a cheaperlight and you would have sanded and polished whatever you got used anyway.

what you can do is use Phillips screw driver.

1.looking straight down on the top side of the headlight, directly above where the adjustment rods are, there should be a little hole with the gears (teeth) for adjustment, just enough for the phillips screw driver to fit in.

2.Now put the screw driver in there and just start turning it left or right, I forgot the which direction one is to lift and lower.

Thats how I do it with with most cars. Forgot if the SC's are the same, but it should be. Its must easier and fast this way too.

Just don't go crazy with it and turn it all the way until the gears break.
