Default She might be dead!!! :(

What to do! So last monday some mother blank broke into my SC400. The busted out the window, pried up the door handle, ruined the Upper door panel trim, passenger door panel, the entire center counsel is destroyed, climate control is gone, dark tan center counsel trim destroyed, and my $1000 Alpne H.U. is gone. Its a mess!!! The wiring harness behind the radio is in pieces too! I am soooooo mad and soooooo upset!!! I love this car but it keeps attracting bad luck! So today I got even worse news. The damage is so extensive that they might total the car! I cant have that happen, I dont know what to do cause they most likely will total it. Its worth sooo much more than blue book too. If you dont remember it, heres a picture....

To all of my Club Lexus friends, what should I do!!!???

sell me your swap for $100....or your exhaust...really.

but honestly, its up to you. if you like the car more than its worth, then rebuild. or take the money and run and put it towards something else? you had a really clean car so i cant see it being that hard to fix up

Withdraw your claim and fix the damages yourself. Otherwise you'll end up with a piddly check and a bad title.

That really stinks man. I hate that for you honestly. I wish people werent out there like that, but thats a wish that wont come true. I honestly think you should buy it back. Rebuild it or sell it as a bad title so I can buy it to drift . Honestly though I am really sorry that happened man. I would fix it if it was mine

The problem is that if I drop the claim then I dont get any money....but it would save me from having a salvaged title. I dont want to get rid of the car at all, but if I keep it insurance will be worthless on it. Might be time to fix her up and find a daily? Ill find out more by tuesday and will have pics up when I get them from RedPhoenix.

BS, this is a GOOD thing. Take the money and run. Don't settle with them, argue it up until it is worth it to settle, repair the car and enjoy the new stuff you bought. That car is a 93, you wouldn't make much selling it anyway by book value no matter how nice it is so it is not going to drop the value much.

take the salvage title - you know it IS salvage because of vandalism and not an accident. The title means nothing unless you are going to sell it. And when you do, provide a copy of the insurance report to show proof that salvage title is NOT due to an accident.

If this will hold true then that seems like a great idea! Plus I dont plan on ever selling this car, ever. My only concern is if my insurance will cover it still under a salvage title?
