Default Double Din Brake Wiring?

Anyone out there with a double din unit, how do you wire up the foot brake wiring? I spliced in the e-brake wire already but am trying to get the foot brake hooked up.

I already searched but to no avail

Thanks in advance

It's an alpine, and from what I'm reading in the manual, you have to do a series of functions to put it in the DVD/settings mode:
For example:
Engage the foot brake, and while engaging the foot brake engage, release, and re-engage the parking brake, and then disengage the foot brake

yeah just bypass it, save you a lot of time trying to find and splice those wires.

Like RedPhoenix and fliptrix said, bypass it! It's harder to wire it up properly than it is to bypass it. I did the bypass on my new Pioneer double din and now I can watch videos while I drive. It's a nice feature to have.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I actually got it wired up right. I didn't have the materials to make a bypass so eventually I'll get around to making one. Anyone interested in how it's done without a bypass:

1. Splice into e-brake ground wire and plumb one wire in there
2. Splice into the thick black and white wire on the brake switch, located just above the brake and plumb the foot brake wire into there.

Butttt, I'm never going to do that again. I need to learn how to make a bypass for sure haha.

How would one make a bypass for this?

Well you could make one by making two separate switches, one applying power to one switch for the foot brake and then the other turning on and off a ground in place of the e-brake.

Or what I'll end up going with is the PAC TR7 module. Look it up on fleabay
