Talking brand new!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

hey guys, ive been a member with club lexus for about 2 years now. i previously had a 1995 es300. i wanted something i could upgrade and work with, and my es300 just wasnt cutting it. i just graduated 2 days ago and got a 1996 sc300. it has an in-line 6 in it and its stick, just what i wanted. the lady who owned it never drove it and kept everything in mint condition. it already has after market rims on it, but i want some advice on what to get for aftermarket performance. i plan on putting a turbo in it, but what should i do to it before i do that? im guessing a new intake and full new exhaust and headers. anything else? appreciate any advice. Thanks!

The headers intake and exhaust will be very decent first upgrades as far as performance. You wont get anything near what a reliable good quality turbo kit will yield you, but its a start and keeps it simple yet fun. If you truly plan on turboing down the road, then save money on the exhaust and headers, and just do a BFI on your stock intake, and keep it even simpler till you get a good quality reliable turbo kit.

edit: Lets see some pics of your ride

Welcome to thunderdome! lol. Where in AZ are you? Yeah have fun modding the N/A. You might have some people give you **** for it saying "turbo or bust" but look at it this way- the 3 liter inline six of a BMW 330ci has near identical torque and horsepower specs as an N/A 2j and nobody gives BMW guys **** for modding those engines. Obviously a turbo will really wake it up, but a peppy N/A is definitely fun to drive.

I give the BMW some credit, cause I have one. Just simply bolts on can do a little, but a Vortech supercharger or Active Autowerks can do more, and Horspowerfreaks is the beast!

I'd upgrade my suspension and brakes first.

Congrats man!! And i agree with Jadu. You'll thank yourself later on if you get the maintenance out of the way first.

well the guy who hooked me up with the car works for lexus, and he said everything had been inspected and anything that needed to be changed was fixed. the engine looks spotless, probably because the lady who owned it only drove it to the grocery store and back. lol

You should be ashamed of yourself for posting about your new car without so much as one picture. Pics today or you get kicked in the nads.
