Default Possible starting problem?

In the past few days, I have noticed that my car needs to crank longer before it will start when the engine is overnight cold. Once it starts it runs normally, and subsequent warm starts are normal also.

Anybody else experienced this symptom? Any ideas would be appreciated...

Battery, use a gauge to check the alternator output as well.

Thanks Em, but I just had the alt replaced, output at idle is 14.05V, and the engine doesn't crank any slower than before, it just takes longer for the engine to catch.

It could be the first signs of the fuel pump ECU playing up, see my site for more info.
