I say stick with OEM air filters and replace them regularly and they'll work just as good if not better than any aftermarket panel filters.

well my oem filter needs to be replaced so i was going to get a aftermarket filter.because i was going to do a bfi intake. The reason i was going to buy a aftermarket filter is the stock replace is $23 and the aftermarket apexi is a couple bucks more.

Go with K&N as they are always make a little more horsepower then stock and are washable/rechargeable and come with a million mile warranty.

I like the apexi panel filter and cone filter. Supra forums show that the apexi has the best filteration and flow vs K&N/HKS/Blitz/etc.

Also Apexi is ZERO maintenance. I had it on my MR2. Might get it for my SC also.

pods are dyno proven to lose power

"k&n's can ruin MAF's with their oil...or so ive heard" - yes, and let fine particles into the intake.

"K&N as they are always make a little more horsepower" - no, not in soarer, supra etc they lose power.

"I say stick with OEM air filters and replace them regularly and they'll work just as good if not better than any aftermarket panel filters" - right on the money.

i use HKS Super Hybrid Filter because it uses a dry foam and its green for my "BFI".
