hey guys, so not sure if anyone cares or not but i have an update.
After getting the 2j running we quickly ran into an oiling problem as the oil pump **** the bed, and wrecked all in its path, starved the turbo etc.
So after ****ing around with the engine again i got another bottom end, switched everything over, the 2nd engine i put in had a crazy tick to it, another non healthy 2j.
Finally i bought a 2j from an aristo with low ks, bolted it in and went drifting. left the stock twins on it which im really happy with btw!!! power is good, response is good, start everytime with no dramas, runs super cool. Im a happy guy, i should have stuffed a stock engine in from the start!!!!! anyways, here is some random pics/vids. http://vimeo.com/14759153
So hot. This almost makes up for all the ugly DMCC cars up there.
DMCC didn't come to BC this year and probably not next, so all the ****ty DMCC cars are no where to be seen. Only grassroots cars at all our events now, stripped daily drivers and drift missiles.
On a side note, why is it some Vertex-style skirts look lower and more aggressive than others?
Ive thought about it also and noticed that it comes from how people are mounting them. some people make them hug. which is making contact underneath the car and then wheel wells and and on top. some seem to just mount on top and in the wheel wells making it almost just hang which will get you that lower look.
