It would be all squeezed into the condenser if it was there to begin with. Or maybe there wouldn't have been so much penetration into the engine bay if it had been there. My guess is someone removed it at some point.
I see this done by a lot of people who've modded therir front bumper...needless to say, it's a horrible idea!

Glad you and your girl made it through this ok. Go buy a lotto ticket now
It was completely stock besides the wheels, And the only people to drive it was an older lady, my father and I, so I'm pretty sure It wasn't removed.

You and your GF are very blessed to have walked away from an inpact like that. Glad you are both ok, my LS 430 was totaled a month ago in a five car pile up on the hwy so I have been there.

I actually forced my door open but I couldnt open her door, so they had to take off the roof to get her out.
