I don't have any answers about reupholster cost but I just completed reconditioning my leather with SEM fabric coating spray & it came out spectacularly!

It cost me $9. a can I purchased 2 cans. Yes $18. I used cleaner to thoroughly clean my seats then applied/rubbed denatured alcohol diligently all over, waited for seats to dry about 20 minutes later began spraying.

I have the stock tan leather & used 15683 Light Neutral.

TRY THIS PRODUCT! Save yourself time & money, the results are legendary. I will post pictures if you'd like. I will make a thread about it later today complete with pics & all details.

Most of the guys on this forum take the easier route and SEM coat the interior. If you're planning on reupholstering the interior with leather/Vinyl fabrics, they usually sell it in bulk; take measurements of the individual parts to be covered & get busy.
Heres a thread to help with removing the dash:

Good luck.

I picked up a full package from these guys when they did a group buy on the forum a number of years ago. The quality is top notch, the fitment was perfect, and it made life so much easier. I'm actually third generation in a family that owns their own upholstery shop, and believe me, the last thing I ever want to upholster is automotive seats. This is worth your time and money to just get it pre-cut like this. Plus they have loads of options.

leather upholstery is a whole other ballpark from typical fabric. Have you ever worked with leather? If not I'd do some extensive research on this subject outside of CL.

Many that reupholster their own interior do so with premade leather covers with great results. I'm sure I can't post any websites per the vendor agreements here, but that's your best bet.
*edit* just saw somebody already posted leatherseats.com. They do excellent work and they can actually do quite a bit of custom stuff for you.

only that none of the kits I've seen have anything for the dash and doors and sides, just the seats, seat backing, boot and center console

Most of what you listed will need to be a custom wrap. There just isnt demand for a pre-cut leather kit for an SC dash or door panels. I think leatherseats.com has the door armrests and center console, but thats about it besides the seats. There's another site/seller... leather-seat or something like that and they will let you mix/match if you have supra fronts etc. There are a few lengthy threads about both companies and products. I think Kaotiq(sp?) had his interior professionally wrapped on his old blue SC, but I dont know if they gave him details on the amount of fabric used etc.
