Default Door Panel Question About Power Switch

Hey guys. I never start a thread because i always either research OR search another thread. But theres one thing that i just could not find anywhere on here or anywhere else. Im having trouble trying to reinstall the power switch to my door panel. It looks like this

How the heck do you reinstall it without it moving?

well thats the thing. I thought thats all i had to do but for some reason its not working for me.

I thought that the back of it slid into something but i dont see what it can slide into. The front of the piece has that clip but its not clipping in for me.

Am i just that stupid?
