The clutch system works now! i installed a banjo bolt with a bleeder instead the standard banjo bolt for the clutch master cylinder output. Now i can bleed the cylinder seperate and the lines with the throwout bearing seperate.
Hey Boergy, I would like to say your thread is fantastic! Absolute solid work over the years. Great find too with such a low mileage vehicle. It gives me hope on what I can do to mind, starting with just the simple wheels from the IS250 you had done years before. If you remember, were those sport wheels a direct bolt on or did you have to do any modification to have them fit your SC? I've just spent the last 2hrs going through your thread and it again is very impressive.
I look forward to seeing what else you do. Keep up the fantastic work and I appreciate the time you've taken to document your progress. Simple and clean.
Stay well.
JR.
P.S. I noticed through some of the pages, pictures were visible, I'm not sure if that's from you or maybe from the site here. Either way, I'm following.
Thanks! i love my SC, but i have not much time to work on him. The IS250 Sport wheels fits without problems. only the original tire size is not perfect, better is compare to the stock SC rims is 235/40/18 on front and 245/40/18 on rear. the 255/40 drives like a ballon.
i had for a short time the IS250C wheels bought, but the design is for me to new for the SC, here a photoshop
a friend bought this wheels from me and fitted on is IS300 GTE, looks great!
For the SC/Supra LHD gives no brake booster stopper to buy. i weld my own one stopper.
only the dish between the bolt and the cylinder is not done.
i bought a set of Sparco Torinos, very cheap, but the perfect seats to change the red cover to a leather in ivory. my daughter in i had fun with the seats
it gives serveral choises for the brackets.. maybe the bride low with rails, or the brackets seperate from planted or sparco with seperate rails
Yes, next week i will send my steering wheel to make it thicker and new leather. Buying the seat brackets for the Sparco seats, install a Apexi SAFC II,.... some little mods, repair the driver side door panel, repaint the brake calipers in black matt, upgrade the rear brakes also to Stoptech parts,...
next parts arrived. i bought a 5kg XAT Racing/Suprastore lightflywheel for the UZ engine with ARP bolts. i found no drill holes the say me the fw is balanced this is a modified 3S-GTE fw. some people say, the drilled holes around the bolt holes are not good, the fw can burst and cut my feets but i think the XAT Racing does correct work. i brought the fw to a good engine build shop near to me to check the balance and quality.
early in january bought i a used HKS hipermax 2 coilover set for the supra, low miles, good conditions. But the preowner had maybe no correct tool to adjust the nuts 3 of 4 opened without problems, one need more love and heat but the thread and the nut ok, it was only dirt in the thread. in the spring, if i find some specs for my expert, i will install the coilovers, set correct and legalice with the seats
The bride low seat brackets for the sparco seats on the way from japan to me, i think in 2-3 weeks i can fit the first seat in the SC to see i like it or not.
