Sadly, I do not know of a quick and easy way to wire up the SC. I just installed a double din Pioneer, and followed some of the steps in the thread below. Either way, this should lead you in the right direction.

You dont need an amp to run an after market din as long as the speaker wires connect directly to the head unit or in some way dont go through they amp. The head unit usually has a built in amp.

um my din plugged rite in... and it had low output av jacks that plugged straight into the factory amp. and on top of that it was inexpensive touchscreen unit. i think you just need a premium toyota radio harness our cars are the same year.. pics coming

too grainey... to see, but if you had a factory radio in it is easy as pie and no cutting needed (maybe stagger cuts) just some sodering and heat shrink tubing (gotta make it look good) thats it theres no trouble to it at all

dude i think i have the same navi if its a dual xdvdn8290 6.5 in i recommend you return it b/c it was awesome for the the first 7 months but now its really glitchy, it doesnt play cds correctly, or mp3 cds, the navi sd card doesnt store maps or home map, its a great unit for the money but if you want something to last i suggest you save up and get a pioneer or kenwood

I taped into a 12v, then an acc and ran new wires to speakers. Since my car was a 93 and didnt have a stereo i ran monster cable throughout. I put amp in the trunk and ran a remote to the HU and a power to amp from battery with associated fusses where they need to go. Pretty simple stuff...

I just had a Pioneer double din installed in my car by a local shop about two weeks ago. I think they said they didn't bypass the factory amp, but since they didn't it causes really weird noises to come through my speakers at low volumes. I'm guessing you don't need to bypass the amp, but you're better off if you do.

I recently installed my lanzar touchscreen 7" and im having the same issue with that noise at low volumes. I installed it with the metra kit n harness but i do know that two more harness where left out which where connected to the factory radio. im thinking of taking it in to a stereo shop to install the factory subwoofer n maybe that would cancel the noise :/ any\all suggestions r welcome...
