Default First Mod...HIDs

I told myself I would leave the car alone for at least 6 months, but you all know how that goes...

Thanks to CL I found out about ddmtunings ridiculous price of about $40 for HIDs so I went ahead and got me some 5000k low beams. Really happy with the temp choice too. Just a hint of blue.

Anyways heres crappy cell pics..

As you can sorta see, headlights are just a tiny bit bluer than the florescent white lights outside.

I wanted to start with some small stuff to modernize the 11 year old SC a little bit so now I'm in the process of changing all the interior bulbs to LEDs via LuxuryMods. lookin great so far. will post pics when finished.

5000k shouldnt be as blue as that looks

My 6000k are barely blue on the edges and my cut off is bright blue.

looks good. best thing about $40 kits is that if they do stuff up, its only $40. i forget if i got 5 or 6000k but mine have more of a blue tinge. personally i wouldnt go more than 6000k. just get some decent projectors, and you wont even need a high beam

I bought my first HID kit back in 2003 for a whopping $300 (which was a STEAL back then) for a 97 740iL. Over the years the HID kits have gotten so cheap its crazy. The last kit I bought was $38. What a difference a few years make. I have NEVER had a problem with any kits I've purchased, and honestly I use to just look for the cheapest ones on eBay.

LOL, welcome to ur first mod, this is the first step in modding addiction.. You will see things that are cheap and will get you hook and go higher in price to get the stuff you want to mod.
