Go for the 97+ look. The front end looks so much better, and so does the rear. The 92-96 body looks like an egg where as the 97+ has that oem lip kit kind of look. It looks more sophisticated.

Just do it. lol.

Oh man, careful you dont open a can of worms here, soo many opintions about this lol. But its completely a personal choice. Most ppl prefer the 97+ style (including myself), but there are a few cars here (RedPhoenix for example) that really make a stand for the pre-97 look..
I guess it really depends what you do with the rest of your car.

man this is all definetly personal preference, I had a 95 SC and loved the way it looked, i always wanted the 97+ body though, then i ended up getting a 95 that had a full 97+ exterior and now i have a real 97.

in some ways i do like the 95 style better, but when it comes down to it i prefer the 97+, no matter what you prefer the 97+ definetly looks newer and more modern, but the previous style has more old skool flare i think..

for the cost of the conversion, i just say go get a real 97+ unless it's time for paint or you've been in a small fender bender, it's just soo much money to 97+ a older car that already has good paint.

Please go with the 97+ stock look, it looks so much better. I just picked up some 97+ sideskirts today for my 95' in perfect shape for the mere price of $120.00 at my local junkyard.

What all is needed for the conversion besides the front bumper and grill?

I guess I'll give the only dissenting view...I like the look of the pre 96 better. Maybe it's because I'm not into the look of body kits, or it may be the "old skool" flare Paco mentioned. I'm not overly fond of the front end treatment of the 97+, the front bumper and that little air dam in the hood vs. the smooth look is just not as appealing to my eye. I do however like the more aerodynamic look of the headlights. I really don't care for that chrome trim around the taillights either. But like everyone so far has said, it's all personal preference. And no I'm not hating the 97+ crowd, I looked past many a suitable 97+ because I liked the pre 96 exterior styling better. 97+ wins hands down on interior (and the better stock motors) though.

To each his/her own.

Go with the 97+, don't lie to yourself and tell yourself that you like the pre 97 more.

Or actually if you don't have a manual, just save up for a 97 sc300.

I'm a big fan of the 97+

I can tell you didn't search for the answer, so let me save you the time you should have spent searching it and answer for you

Front bumper
Front grill
Fogs
Side skirts
Door moldings
Rear Bumper
Rear Bumper Extensions
Tails

You can put in the impact foam bar if you want, but most people save the money and leave it off.

I honestly don't think there is anything sexier (apart from females of course!) than a 97+ lowered with 19's

The 97 is still my favorite. I will say that I find the Aero T's body kit that Nismo did on his car a very close second if not equal to the 97. It is exceptionally clean. After that, is the AC for sure.

97+ gets my vote. Not that pre 97's can't look good, I just think that 97+ only needs wheels and a drop to look gorgeous.
