Default Is this right? R154 question with pics.

Is part of the shifter housing on an R154 suppose too stick up through the tranny tunnel like in the pics below? I am using an extended shifter housing, with the SC300 auto tranny cross-member.

might need a r154 cross member it loweres the rear of the tranny to the right height...

Where does the top of the shifter housing sit? Flush with the cut out?
