Default Big brake blues, spacers, pull, stretch? what would you do? Vote!

Just thought I would throw a thread up here to get some opinions. This thread almost belongs in the brake section but since options include fender mods I put it here.

I have a set of 14" Stoptech brakes for all four corners. Fronts went right on with no problems. Rears, thats another story. Rears wont fit under my wheels due to how far they stick out. I really love my Work rezax II wheels and am not to excited about changing them. New wheels that clear them wont have the big fat lips unless they have the convex center, a convex center with big lip just isnt a big lip, IMO the lip starts from the spokes surface, not curved in under the spokes. On top of that they dont fit under my 17" Bogart drag wheels either. This is what seems to be my options.

Sell all my wheels and buy new
Dont install the rear brakes
Run spacers Needs 1/2" and stretched tires
Run spacers and pull fenders
Get a new plan and ..........................

I am allready on a path with this but thought it would be fun to see what you guys thought.
Fronts with brakes

Bogarts

Front Bogarts fit

Rear lip and fitment on Works

Knowing you and how you build your car and what you want out of it;
-stretched tire is out you want meet for traction
-pull is not your style especially 1/2"

SO really the only option i see is for you to sell the rears and order a set with the correct face to fit the big brakes. ALTHOUGH big brakes in the rear are pretty worthless especially that size on a car that isnt going to be driven on a road course nonstop at 150+mph speeds

oh and you forgot to make this a poll

Keep the wheels and only use the front brakes. Your wheels make your car look good and it just wouldn't be the same with a different set of wheels.

yo man to be honist your car is sweet, nice, hot, in every aspect i think you should'nt even worry about putting the back ones on, the way your car looks you would'nt even be taking off or putting anything on the car because your wheels are so hot they wont let people see in there i know it i'll be on your conscience but at the end is all up to you, its just my opinion.....

The brakes are quite impressive, they might not be necessary for the rear, but thinking about the mods you have done to your car, I don't believe you'll be happy unless you have front and rear matching. Were you unhappy with your car's braking performance?

If it were me I would not use front or rear, because they won't clear your Works or your Bogarts. Having to sell your wheels and losing money and having to get new wheels/tires etc. I probably didn't help sorry.

I'd run a small spacer and either pull the fender or go down a tire size. You're so close to getting them on and those are pretty easy solutions.

If you like your rims, then I would say to sell the Brakes and try to recover your $$ out of it. IMO, I don't like the look of a BBK up front and not have the matching rears but again that's just me...

The only way as you stated to achieve a big lip and clear the rear big brakes is to have that curve on the rear rims...

Considering you have 14" fronts, I can't imagine that 14" rear brakes are maintaining a proper bias on the car. Seems like you could sell your 14" rears, buy a 'smaller' BBK for the rear that fits, keep the wheels you've got, maintain better bias, and live happily ever after. Unless it's really just bragging rights you wanted with the 14" ALL AROUND BBK set

DO NOT GET RID OF THE BRAKES SCOTT!!!
I agree with Chrispy here definitely.

If all you need is a lil spacer, then do the spacer, and a slight pull, or cut. (Possibly in front too just cuz?)
Since you're repainting several body parts anyways, I figure you will probably want to do the whole car again so it matches perfectly, so if that's the case just do a slight pull!!! Simple. Easy solution!

Those brakes will SET OFF the car compared to most all other SC's out there.
The brakes are simply too awesome to just run a front setup! NEEDS BOTH!
(I know you can fab some spacers cheaply?) [I just read the above post, glad you have something up your sleeve]

Hmmm....that's nice indeed

...but it still needn't change my suggestion!

By their own description though, you should be able to go down to a Stoptech 13" rotor and caliper (with slightly larger pistons) and accomplish the exact same bias. There's a better chance they'll fit with his wheels, look nearly identical, and more importantly, work just the same.
