CrazySC300 - hello. Good day
Supporting your question.
Our colleagues have been interested in this project, but none of them have not yet reported in this topic, what they got.
They did that too and I have been able, or on another to make this project?

For this case need spare parts:
1) Outside mirrors Toyota Soarer (JZZ30/31);
2) panel switch for Toyota Soarer (JZZ30/31);
3) Electronic control unit of mirrors - «Mirror Control» for Toyota vehicles: Sorona, Sarina, Sarina E; Selica; mr2; Avensis 92-97; SCJZZ30/31
- Japanese auction of spare parts or spare parts to Japanese cars in the US.

I see...so we can use a mirror ECU from an MR2 or Celica? I never knew that these cars had these options...I may have to look into this...Also in the 3rd picture, I can't read the Parts number very well...can you verify the Parts number? Thank you and Dos Vidanya!

CrazySC300 - hello. Good afternoon.
In the 3rd picture - electronic control unit of mirrors - «Mirror Control» for Toyota vehicles: Sorona, Sarina, Sarina E; Selica; mr2; 92-97 Avensis, Toyota Soarer.
I bought a block «Mirror Control» in Russia from Japan (right wheel) machines Sarina. Each time you press the button on the panel arm 5rd picture «Mirror Control» changing + to - and vice versa. From this command, the mirror is composed or decomposed.
In the US probably have Used car Toyota: Sorona, Sarina, Sarina E; Selica; mr2; 92-97 Avensis and Toyota Soarer? From any of these machines can use the block «Mirror Control» to control folding mirrors.
Manual override - two new picture with the electrical unit must be taken from the panel on the Toyota Soarer - 5rd picture and install a toolbar on the SC 300/400 - 4rd picture. Tripod Mount this unit on the same panel, Toyota Soarer, and the panel SC 300/400.
Thank you and until we meet in this topic.
Good luck.
Vadim.

I remember a while ago, A local CL member (I believe it was AutoCoutureSC) tried to install the JDM power folding mirrors onto his SC...He told me that it didn't work and that it was a waste of money...I'm guessing that he didn't have the JDM Mirror Control ECU and tried to use the USDM one...Also, I think he was trying to wire it where the mirrors would fold when the car alarm was armed and would fold out when the alarm was disabled.

So from what I can understand, The JDM Mirror control ECU is the key to making this work on a USDM Lexus SC?

A set of JDM Soarer mirrors show up on ebay every so often and aren't very hard to obtain...but most often than not, there is no mirror control ECU to go with it, which I now understand to be the most crucial part in order to make this mod installation work...

FYI, the part number for the Mirror control ECU is "87989-24020" if it'll help anyone.

CrazySC300 - hello. Good afternoon.
You correctly understood everything! JDM Mirror control ECU - provides control of folding and unfolding mirrors in the Lexus SC. No JDM Mirror control ECU - the expected result will not be.
This is my budget for this project:
1) two mirrors from the Toyota Soarer (left and right) - bought in Russia for 30 USD for 1 piece + shipping = 100 USD;
2) a JDM Mirror control ECU from Toyota Soarer - 15 USD with shipping - bought in Russia;
3) panel on the right door of the Toyota Soarer with manual override mirrors and an electric unit (part number № 74231 - PANEL, FRONT ARMREST BASE, UPPER RH) - I bought a Japanese auction site spare parts for ATS for 10 USD + + Currency Conversion Shipping from Japan Shipping from Russia + Russia - 190 USD;
4) Installation button manual mirrors with electric unit from the panel, Toyota Soarer (part number № 74231 - PANEL, FRONT ARMREST BASE, UPPER RH) in the panel from the SC 300/400 (part number - 74232 PANEL, FRONT ARMREST BASE, UPPER LH) - did my friend the sculptor (free);
5) all electro-technical work - 150 USD;
6) Lexus SC300/400 LED mirror signal Lights SC 300/400: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lexus.../150441216807? cmd = ViewItem & pt = Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories & hash = item2306fecb27 - I bought in the US for 99 USD + currency conversion + shipping from US/Russia + Shipping to Russia = 100 USD;
6) installation of LED mirror signal Lights in a cocoon of mirrors (left and right), - 500 USD (Institute of aesthetics and design);
7) painting of new cocoons mirrors - 150 USD.
Total (100 +15 +190 +150 +200 +500 +150) = 1305 USD.
I wish you good luck in this project. Water does not flow under a still stone.

Vadim.

Okay, I posted the JDM power folding mirrors up for sale, but apparently, no one wants 'em...So now I have decided to partake in this project of retrofitting my SC with power folding mirrors. Vadim, I saw your wiring diagram, unfortunately, it's written all in Russian, Luckily, I have a Russian friend who will translate what you originally wrote on that diagram word for word and letter by letter as soon as I print out the wiring diagram that you conjured up.

After studying Vadim's photos, I just realized now that I'm going to have to mix parts between the USDM and JDM mirrors...This is gonna be fun *sarcasm*
