ok so last week i bought a 92 sc400 for 100$. the guy told me the engine was seized. when i went to pick up the car the windows where down. I asked him why they were like that he said thats the way the car died. It made no since what does the motor have to do with electrical stuff. So last night i went to experimenting with the car. i switched the battery out of my celica and put it in the lexus. nothing. the only thing i could get to turn on was the electronic compass on the rear view mirror. Im thinking i have a blown fuse somewhere. Any suggestions?
a celica battery might not be strong enough to get the job done. I would try a stronger battery or maybe even jump the original battery.
sounds like something isnt right though. if you can crank the engine over manually you will know if its siezed or not, and you don't need a battery to do it.
most likely the test your mechanic performed if the car wont even turn on.
Where are the pictures? We, at CL, like to see pictures of the new SC's! J/K, let us know what you find out.
Here's the pictures he posted in his other thread.
